Ranger Charles Khumalo is the field training officer for the Carbon Green Africa Anti-poaching Unit. His team operates in the Nyaminyami area near Matusadona National Park in Zimbabwe. Last year his unit arrested 30 poachers and recovered 15 illegal firearms during a rigorous anti-poaching campaign. Since 2016 there has not been a single elephant killed by poachers in his operational area.
